Carlos Becerra, CEO + Founder
Carlos (he/him/él) has been teaching, researching, and writing customized curricula and providing academic enrichment in a variety of subjects for well over a decade. A third-generation educator and son of two college professors, Carlos founded the educational company BEC with the understanding that the one-size-fits-all approach of traditional programs didn’t meet the needs of most learners. Through a tailored and approachable way to help students do their best academically, BEC has grown from a Chicago company to a virtual education hub that prepares students for academic challenges and empowers them for success. Carlos continues to grow as an educator and entrepreneur, actively involved in pursuing educational equity and supporting Latinx entrepreneurship while continuing to enjoy teaching and mentoring the leaders of tomorrow. |
