Starting to prepare for the ACT and SAT can be a daunting task. Taught by our most experienced tutors, this ACT/SAT course is designed to provide an initial introduction to these exams, combining BEC’s core strategies with a focus on guided practice and “classic” concepts. From approaching advanced geometry to learning calculator and watch etiquette, students gain comfort with all aspects of each test.
Grade Level Rising Sophomores + Juniors Session Frequency Two sessions per week, 60-minutes each (assessment included) Dates We are offering two dates, June/July and July/August — To register for your preferred dates click on the link below. June/July June 19 - July 19 Mondays + Wednesdays, 12-1pm July/August July 17 - August 9 Mondays + Wednesdays, 5:30-6:30pm Students are encouraged to attend all sessions within the series. Week 1 ACT vs. SAT: What’s the Difference? Tackling Intimidating Math: How to Strategize Week 2 Reading: From Passage Analysis to Classic Questions Science: Analyzing Data + Mediating Scientist Comparisons Week 3 Punctuation, Rhetoric, and Other English Adventures Testing Pitfalls & Timing Approaches Week 4 Advanced Math Concepts & Strategy Overall Review + Classic Challenge Problems Assessment Your student will receive a remote full practice assessment via email. They will be able to complete this assessment any time during the weekend. |
